    I am a Clinician in California, Illinois, and Michigan

    I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy from Michigan State University (Go Green!). With over 10 years of experience, I specialize in the intersection of disability, neurodivergence, sexuality education, and romantic relationships.

    I work with individuals, couples, and support networks to address a broad range of individual and interpersonal concerns. Additionally, I provide sexuality education and self-identity exploration, helping clients navigate their relationships and discover their authentic selves in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

    As a trauma-informed therapist, I have significant expertise working with victims, perpetrators, and couples impacted by sexual violence and relationship violence. My approach is grounded in client empowerment, creating a safe space for healing, growth, and healthy relationship dynamics.

    Whether you're looking to build confidence in dating, deepen your relationships, or heal from past trauma, I bring extensive experience and specialized knowledge to every session. In addition to my clinical work, I am a clinician and researcher at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, where I contribute to advancing research and clinical practice in neurodivergence and relationship dynamics. I have authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications on these topics and have presented at numerous conferences, sharing my knowledge and insights to advance the field. I am also honored to serve as a board member of both the AAMFT Neurodiversity Interest Network and the AAIDD Social and Sexual Relationships Interest Network, working to promote inclusion and advocacy for neurodiverse individuals in relational contexts.

    Additionally, I provide supervision and guidance for students and associate clinicians, helping to shape the next generation of therapists. My work is rooted in a deep commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and fostering positive, lasting change in the lives of those I serve.

    Associate Therapist

    I am a Clinician in California.

    I am a Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), holding a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University. This fall, I will begin my Ph.D. in Human Developmental Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I will continue researching treatments for mood disorders among neurodivergent populations.

    With over three years of direct clinical experience, I have worked with individuals ranging in age from four to fifty, gaining a deep understanding of client needs across all developmental stages. My work includes supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals in achieving their personal goals through both individual and group therapy. I have also worked with couples, supporting their communication goals through couples counseling.

    In addition to my clinical practice, I am a clinician and researcher at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. Here, I contribute to advancing research and clinical practices related to neurodivergence and relationship dynamics. Throughout my time at UCLA, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of clients achieve their social, emotional, and interpersonal goals. I am also an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician, with experience guiding clients through their journeys of gender and sexual identity exploration.

    I am an active member of the American Psychological Association and the International Society for Autism Research, continuously staying up to date with the latest advancements in mental health and neurodiversity research.

    My clinical practice is grounded in a strengths-based approach, and I believe every individual possesses unique strengths that can guide our therapeutic work together.   • Ana Rocio Escobar-Chew, PhD, LMFT (She/Her/Ella)

    Associate Therapist

    I am a Clinician in Michigan and Guatemala, Central America. I accept worldwide clients.

    I am a bilingual (English-Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with 20 years of clinical experience. I am a Fulbright fellow, born and raised in Guatemala. I have a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy from Michigan State University, and a Clinical Psychology degree from Universidad Rafael Landívar.

    I deliver online bilingual mental health services to individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting, trauma and abuse. My research interests focus on the relational dynamics of Latino couples and bi-cultural couples, intimate partner violence in Latino populations, and cultural adaptation of evidence-based parenting interventions. My clinical interests also include families within the foster care system, multi-stressed, immigrant, and diverse families and couples.

    My most important goal is ensuring clients' safety while also achieving productive therapy outcomes though evidenced-based treatments. I work from a strength-based and collaborative approach. I firmly believe in my clients’ unique potential and resilience. I am here to assist you in facing the particular challenges you are experiencing and to help you move forward towards your goals. I have an integrative therapeutic approach, based on Person-Centered Therapy, Systemic Approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral tools. I work from an informed Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Existential Therapy, Gottman Method, and Solution-Focused Therapy approaches.

    I am a professional member of the American Marriage and Family Therapy Association. I have multiple peer-reviewed publication and book chapters, involving the topics of intervention for domestic violence perpetrators, couples therapy, cultural adaptation of evidenced-based interventions, women who have lost their parental rights. I am a published author in the following scientific journals: Violence Against Women, Family Process, and the Journal of Feminist Family Therapy.

    In Guatemala, I served as the Director of the Psychology Department at Universidad Rafael Landívar in charge of two undergraduate programs, Clinical Psychology and Organizational/Industrial Psychology.

  • Giselle Salinas, PhD (She/Her/Ella)

    Career Coach

    I am a career coach with a specialization in working with neurodivergent adults, including individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. I hold a PhD in Education with a focus on Special Education, where my research and training centered on supporting individuals and families navigating an autism evaluation. My approach to job coaching is rooted in a strengths-based and person-centered philosophy that empowers individuals to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop meaningful pathways to employment.

    I have extensive experience supporting job seekers with resume development, interview preparation, and building social communication skills for the workplace. In addition to my direct coaching work, I have trained and mentored other coaches in best practices for supporting autistic adults in employment settings. I have also collaborated with community colleges and the California Department of Rehabilitation, working closely with program coordinators, vocational specialists, and peer mentors to promote inclusive employment practices and provide technical assistance grounded in evidence-based strategies. As part of a statewide program, I am working on partnering with employers and businesses to strengthen opportunities for competitive integrated employment for individuals with disabilities.

    My academic research has focused on the transition to adulthood for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with particular attention to supports that facilitate success in both college and employment settings. Whether someone is preparing for their first job, navigating a career change, or exploring what type of work aligns with their strengths and goals, I’m committed to offering personalized support that meets each individual where they are in their employment journey.
